With the same cartoony graphics as Borderlands, it can be visually interesting sometimes. The dialogue as I recall can be humorous, but with the annoying checkpoint save system resulting in having to repeat large parts of a mission once you die, it was very, very annoying.
Not a very large variety of weapons, and combat gets very very monotonous and boring after a while. XIII doesn't differentiate itself from any of the other thousands of FPS games. Same goes for the storyline. Someone waking up with memory loss, and trying to find out who they are while being chased by the government trying to kill him? Really?
Different visual style and alright combat make it bearable. Not recommended unless you're bored like I was.
